This is a heavy-duty yet flexible cord with a standard PC male connector on one end and a Vivitar connector on the other end.

It can be used to connect to Vivitar flash units including the 273, 283, 285, and 285 HV and likely other Vivitar flash units.

Caution: Many of the Vivitar units listed above have very high sync Voltages and might harm your camera.  Be sure that your particular camera can tolerate the sync Voltage of the particular flash unit you intend to connect with this cord.

The "new" version of the 285 HV (production started in early 2007) has a very low sync Voltage and is safe.
